FineArt Model Workshop with Jesse Struyvelt (Belgium)
During both days of the festival, we offer together with Jesse Struyvelt from Belgium (http://www.jessestr.be/) a workshop: sensual FineArt model photography on film.
On 26 and 27 August this exclusive workshop start in the morning from 10am. The aim of the workshop are professional and expressive images on film that are developed and scanned on the same weekend in our Lab.
Jesse is a belgium artist who has mastered the world of classical FineArt Model Photography in a quiet and very own style. During the workshop he will discuss mainly on emotional things, because only if a trust is given to the model, you get extremely expressive images.
But technology is likewise in the foreground, because photography on film requires a different approach than digital photography. This knowledge is given to the participants in peace.
The workshop provides the following content:
- Presentation of Jesse, the model and the participants
- Teaching about the handling of the model, the objective and approach
- Declaration of the necessary technology, the films and the correct exposure
- Focus on poses and facial expressions; mediation between photographer and model
- Handling of light & shadow
- Which look is to be achieved? Declaration and implementation on the ground
- Development and scan in the Lab
- Concluding lively discussion about the pictures taken
- Print selected works on paper FineArt RAG
- The workshop will be held in English and German
The workshop is aimed at both beginners and advanced users. A model and a make-up artist are booked for this workshop. The cost per person is 250 €, which are to be paid one week before the workshop start. Development and scan up to 5 films are free. Also selected prints are free (up to 10 prints).
The location has been selected by us with love and is located in the part of the nature reserve Hautes Fagnes. The area is easily and freely accessible.
